Leaves of green turn to shades of brown,
Leave their stems just to fall down.
Smells of the sea join the evening breeze,
As newborn stars start to fill the trees.
绿色的叶子变成浅棕色，

海风的气息融入夜晚的微风中。
 
With a blanket underneath1 and the sky above,
I wonder why it is I never fell in love.
Silence speaks though my tongue retreats2,
And dew3 lays thick on my hands and feet.
躺在床上望着星空，
我奇怪为何自己从没有爱过。
我的舌头选择了沉默，
手和脚缀满厚厚的露珠。
 
The sky grows gray like the thoughts in mind,
And I look back at the road I’ve just left behind.
天空变得灰暗犹如脑中的思想，
我回首凝望曾走过的路。
 
The roars of waves reach high,
And a seagull wakes with its cry.
I stretch my arms and brush my eyes clear of sleep;
Undreamt dreams are what I wish to keep.
咆哮的海浪越吹越烈，
海鸥的啼叫把我惊醒。
我伸长胳膊揉揉朦胧的睡眼，
意想不到的梦想才是我要的。
 
But I gather my blanket and wrap it safely inside; Like the sand on my feet, I let my longing for it slide4.
 　　As I walk back toward the road I see others running past;
The clouds they kick up in the air never last.
但我拢起毯子将梦想安全地包起，
我的渴望如脚上的沙子般滑落。
当我走回原路，看见其他人跑过，
他们在空中扬起的尘埃落定。
 
But no one ever stops running just to lie on that sand,
To hold our dreams in our hand.
没有人停止奔跑躺在沙滩上，
我们的梦想要握在自己的手中。
